Spokane River Centennial Trail State Park is a 37-mile paved trail running along the Spokane River from Nine Mile Falls to the Idaho state line. Pass over bridges and trestles as you make your way up this iconic trail managed by Riverside State Park. From the basalt formations and ponderosa forests in Riverside State Park to the riverfront parks near Spokane’s urban center and farmland east of Spokane, this trail takes you through some of the best of eastern Washington. Biking and inline skating are popular ways to travel this route. There are several access points along the trail for shorter treks. This route has over 40 significant historical and cultural sites, including the Slaughter Camp Monument where U.S. Army troops killed 800 Indigenous-owned horses during the Yakama War.
