Views of the turquoise Hood Canal, Olympic Mountains, and colorful springtime rhododendrons are in no short supply at Scenic Beach State Park. This charming camping park is often a destination for weddings and family events because of its picturesque setting and historic event venues. Emel House, where many weddings are held, was part of the scenic automobile resort Joe Emel developed in the early 1920s. A gazebo and country garden hold similar charm. There is plenty to do whether you’re at the park to explore for the day or camp. Kayaking and paddleboarding is popular in the warmer months on the protected waters of Hood Canal. Leashed furry friends will love exploring the scents of the beach during morning strolls. Half of the campsites are available year-round for visitors who want to take in views of the snow-capped Olympic Mountains in the winter.
