Sacajawea State Park 2503 Sacajawea Park Rd, Pasco, WA 99301

At the confluence of the Snake and Colombia rivers sits Sacajawea State Park, a 284-acre day-use park that is perfect for a riverside stroll to soak in the views of the two mighty rivers as they merge. Go for a swim in the refreshing water or take your boat and fishing rods out to catch salmon, or simply enjoy a picnic under the shady trees on the shoreline. The park is named in honor of Sacajawea, the Shoshone woman who played a vital role in guiding the Lewis and Clark expedition. In fact, the land that the park now sits on served as one of the expedition’s campsites from October 16-18, 1805 during their journey westward. Visitors can explore this rich history at the Sacajawea Interpretive Center, a museum that features fascinating exhibits on Indigenous cultures and the Lewis & Clark Corps of Discovery, open April through October.
