Set on the picturesque Lewis River, Paradise Point State Park is a peaceful swim and picnicking spot for family fun. There is a sandy beach where you can sit and watch the kids play or launch kayaks into the cool river. See if you can spot pumice and other volcanic rocks in the river from Mount St. Helens’ eruption period several centuries ago. Camping spots and yurts are nestled amongst woods of Douglas-fir, cedar, and hemlock. The lush forests and river also attract a great deal of wildlife. You may spot animals like deer, elk, chipmunks, herons, and woodpeckers. A perk of this park is that it’s easily accessible just off I-5, north of Vancouver. Come and grab a little piece of paradise at Paradise Point State Park.
