Maryhill State Park is a camping park on the majestic Columbia River, surrounded by the golden hills that make the Columbia River Gorge so unique. Maryhill is a truly relaxing getaway with cultural features surrounding the park to keep things interesting. Kids splash in the designated swimming area on the river and run through the grassy fields of the campground. Boating, windsurfing, and fishing keep campers occupied on the river. If you or the kids like to trainspot, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks run regular trains just north of the park. Not too far from the park sits Maryhill Museum, a “castle” built by local entrepreneur Samuel Hill for his daughter Mary, which he named Maryhill. Today, it holds one of the most impressive private art collections on the west coast. Hill also built a Stonehenge replica as a memorial for local soldiers who lost their lives during WWI. Explore all this and maybe even some local wineries and orchards while you’re enjoying a stay at Maryhill State Park.
