Griffiths-Priday State Park, Ocean Shores, WA 98569

Griffiths-Priday State Park offers both saltwater and freshwater fun, thanks to its prime location on the Pacific Coast and the Copalis River, which flows gently toward the ocean. The park is ideal for family day trips, with opportunities to explore the beach, picnic, go birding, or dig for razor clams in season. Beachside trails wind through grassy dunes and wetland shrubbery, creating a peaceful place to explore. Within the park lies the Copalis Spit Natural Area, a refuge for migratory birds. Just offshore from Copalis Spit is Copalis Rock, which is part of the federally protected Copalis National Wildlife Refuge and the greater Washington Islands Wilderness, preserving habitat for a range of wildlife, including harbor seals and seabirds like tufted puffins. With Ocean City State Park to the south and Pacific Beach State Park to the north, both offering camping opportunities, you’ll have no shortage of Pacific Coast to explore.
