Doe Island, WA
Doe Island is a tiny, rugged gem tucked off the eastern shore of Orcas Island on Rosario Strait. This seven-acre marine state park is boat or kayak-only-access. The five first-come, first-served campsites on the island feature picnic tables and fire pits. Gaze out over the shimmering waters of the Rosario Strait to other emerald islands while you kick back with dinner or a book. There is also a 0.3 mile hiking loop taking you around the island to see Pacific madrone trees, rocky bluffs, and tidepools.
