Grab your fishing poles and get ready to relax on the lake at Conconully State Park. Make that two lakes—choose from the lower or upper Conconully Reservoirs to catch fish like rainbow trout or smallmouth bass or go for a boat ride. At Conconully, you’ll be surrounded by rolling, pine-studded hills, a sight so beautiful you’ll want to stay awhile. Conconully offers plenty of campsites to pitch tents or hook up RVs, with a few cabins available on the lower reservoir. If you come in the winter while the gentle hills are blanketed in white, take advantage of the opportunities for backcountry snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The park was initially part of the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s irrigation project, whose dam construction resulted in the reservoirs you see today.
