Blind Island, WA
Blind Island is a tiny island located south of Orcas Island in Puget Sound that offers a peaceful escape from daily life. There are four primitive campsites available to rent, which kayak groups often use to rest and enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding islands and apple trees planted in the 19th century. Two of the campsites are at the very top of the island and feature stunning 360 degree views of Shaw and Orcas Islands. On clear days, you can see Mount Baker.
Blind Island is located at the mouth of Shaw Island in the San Juans, and is only accessible via private boat or kayak.
